Blossom Vegan Pleasanton, CA

Matt and I both like Blossom Vegan and if we are in the area stop in for lunch or dinner. The menu is similar to Loving Hut's chain menu. However the food is good and there is no cult-like stuff sitting around or on TV. The location is small and in a strip mall type sitting. In the parking lot there is a Trader Joe's so you can pick some groceries up after you dine. The parking lot is cramped and busy - day or night. We went for dinner recently and the restaurant was busy but we were seated within 10 minutes and after placing our order had food in front of our face fast. Here is a journey in some of the dishes we have enjoyed on multiple locations.

Golden Rolls - crunchy bite delights.

For lunch Matt usually gets the pho - I eat all the jalapenos that it comes with!

For lunch I usually get the Yum Yum Vermicelli - it is like soup and salad in one!

I recently tried the Eggplant Curry - a very warming feel good dish.

 

Matt tried the Soy Protein Perfection - and we both will be ordering that again soon!

Sipping on a Young Coconut drink or Thai Iced Tea with your meal hits the spot.

Vitality Bowls - Pleasanton, CA

After climbing into coffin liners and walking up and down hills and gravel cemetery paths I needed to refuel! Vitality Bowls in Stoneridge Shopping Center (Pleasanton, CA) has the perfect post cardio snacks to power you up!

I go for the Nutty Dessert Bowl with mini dark chocolate chips, peanut butter, bananas and coconut shavings on top of an açaí base. It wins me over every time. So cooling, refreshing and filling that I did not even munch on the vegan macaroon I also bought. From the menu there looks to be a few vegan options, you can also custom blend stuff. If you dine in your order comes out in a metal bowl with a long spoon. I find a size small perfect to split for a pick me up. They also have a few vegan snack options that are prepackaged to go with your bowls or are perfect to tuck away for later.

How I Celebrated Turning 35 & Vegan Pizza Day

On Saturday June 28th I turned 35! We headed over to the bay area for fun and food. I had all my plans made and due to traffic, bad timing, a bad Uber ride my plans turned into something else but all is good, I still had good food and celebrated right! 

 

I treated myself to a birthday tattoo! A super cute bottle of Sriracha by Sarah at Royalty Tattoo Collective  in Burlingame, CA. The BART ride out there from Berkeley was long but it was worth it for this super cute tattoo!

Speaking of cute I got to celebrate my birthday on Vegan Pizza Day! Matt got me a cute Hello Kitty pizza plush! One is never too old for Hello Kitty!

Our original plans of eating pizza at a different location fell through as well as other plans. However I had a coupon kicking around for Pizza Moda  and we like the atmosphere and the food is good so we headed there. We got the Smiling Cow + Calabrian chilies, a vegan Caesar salad (I am sad not to see the kale one on the menu now!) and a piece of the vegan fudge-y chocolate cake to split. We were stuffed and our bellies were happy!
